A Look at Who Will Win the U.S. Presidential Election
As America broke away from the rule of England and became the melting pot of many countries a democracy was built for liberty and justice. The United States of America is the land of freedom and opportunity.
These liberties are to be appreciated no matter what conspiracy theories you believe. America is one of the best places to live in the world.
But politics has gotten out of control just as the economy and focus of our world. No world leader alone can transform the imbalance of the world currently. This is a world concern and will take the efforts of all nations combined to solve the current dilemma around the world economy.
All our previous conditioning comes to the forefront as the political elections evolve. Most people are swayed by their personal likes or dislikes of a person depending on their race, looks, family background and religion. Some vote according to party, democrat or republican.
Most voters have made up their minds and they will find a way to discredit opposing opinions. This is why I have stayed away from making political predictions. The emotional opinions of those who are polarized can be mean and angry.
The anger is so intense around political issues people cannot hear any opposing views. Their walls and opinions block their ability to hear anything different from their preconceived ideas. So I am going to state the astrological facts and leave the outcome up to you.
It is so important to have accurate birth data to make accurate predictions. The time of birth is imperative in astrology and we are always in question of the accuracy. But for now here is my assessment based on the data that is currently available.

Businessman Mitt Romney has a powerful chart for making money and success. Republicans are generally religious conservatives. Aside from religion, Romney was chiefly chosen for his ability to turn financial businesses around. He is also a devoted Mormon. Can Americans put aside their religious judgment and trust he can help the economy? Powerful businessmen are shrewd and detached. People feel they need to relate personally to the President. But remember, it was controversial for Kennedy to be elected as a Catholic, Reagan as a divorcee and movie star, and Obama as an African American. But do the American people find Mitt Romney as endearing as Kennedy? Probably not, for most don’t trust or relate to a wealthy businessman. And Mitt Romney doesn’t have planets in the 8th house, which gives charisma but also scandals.
Barack Obama has Mars and Rahu in the 8th house, which gives strong charisma, but attracts scandals in personal affairs. His Mars rules his 4th house, so the mystery and scandal surrounds his past and family.
Aside from opinions, it is not always the vote of the people that decides the presidential race; it is the electoral vote. I believe there will be a stalemate on Election Day. There will be mass pandemonium over this. There are specific astrological aspects occurring on that day affecting the presidential candidates.
First of all on November 6th 2012, Mercury will turn retrograde. This is an indication we will not know who wins the election. Mercury turned retrograde on Election Day, November 7, 2000.
From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2000
“Bush narrowly won the November 7 election, with 271 electoral votes to Gore's 266 (with one elector abstaining in the official tally).
The election was noteworthy for a controversy over the awarding of Florida’s 25 electoral votes, the subsequent recount process in that state, and the unusual event of the winning candidate having received fewer popular votes than the runner-up. It was the fourth election in which the electoral vote winner did not also receive a plurality of the popular vote. Later research showed that by the standards requested by the Gore campaign in their contest brief and set by the Florida Supreme Court, Bush would have won the recount. However, had the Gore campaign asked for a full, statewide recount the same research indicates that Gore would have probably won the recount by about 100 votes statewide, consequently giving him Florida's electoral votes and victory in the Presidential election.”
Could this possibly happen again? Mercury turning retrograde on that exact day again indicates a big problem with the elections. It will not be clear who the winner is.
Another indicator that there is trouble on this day is that Mars is out of bounds. Most astrologers, Vedic and Western, do not look at the declination of planets. Astrologers chart a planet’s location by longitude, but declination uses latitude. Planets placements by declination are measured by how far above or below they are from the celestial equator. This is simply the line of the equator extended out into space. When they are both aligned either above (north) or below (south) they are called parallel, and when they are aligned one north and the other south they are contra-parallel. Parallel is like a conjunction and contra-parallel is like an opposition. When a planet is both parallel and conjunct it is the most powerful of all conjunctions like an occultation. This is why some transits are more powerful than others. A planet is out of bounds when it extends the declination beyond the solar boundary. This means the planet’s energies are out of control.
Mars out of bounds on Election Day indicates very violent emotions. Also Mars in the sign of Scorpio is more powerful nearing Ghandanta, the last degree in a water sign. When planets are ghandanta they are said to be drowning, or out of control. As Rahu is in the sign of Scorpio with Mars there are raw emotions around this political election, unsettled or undetermined. As the dire state of the economy surfaces, anger becomes even more intense into the month of December, a turning point in humanity.
Furthermore, Inauguration Day has more surprises for the nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu change signs from Scorpio/Taurus to Libra/Aries. This means a changing of the guard in some powerful way. Rahu and Ketu represent destiny and fate. Rahu approaches Saturn after January. Mars exalted in Capricorn is at the midpoint of Rahu and Ketu indicating mixed emotions especially with the Moon conjunct Ketu at the exact time of the inauguration.
What does this all mean for the presidential candidates?
Mitt Romney has 7 degrees of Taurus rising with Rahu on his ascendant. His life is fated with a significant destiny. His Moon and Jupiter conjunction, both exactly 4 degrees of Scorpio, are in the 7th house giving power because they sit on an angle and are in a Gaja Kesari yoga. This is called the yoga of kings. But debilitated Moon in Scorpio conjunct Ketu can cause deep emotional problems and pain particularly in the area of the wife or partners. Planets in the 7th house are unusually strong for leaders who assign others to carry out their commands. The 10th house is the most powerful elevated house. The Sun in the 10th is the Sun’s most powerful placement. The Sun rules leaders, kings, presidents, and CEOs. Additionally, Mercury and Mars concern businessmen in the 10th house. He can rule with an iron fist with planets in unemotional signs Aquarius and Scorpio. Aquarius can appear detached and Scorpio feels deeply but cannot externalize and express their powerful emotions.
Planets in angles give the most power and he has Rahu and Ketu, Jupiter/Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Mars all in angular houses. His Saturn in the 3rd house interferes with his ability to communicate. He is seen as cold and detached. But the angular planets give him power and success.
Venus in the 9th house rules his ascendant, which gives a philanthropic view on the world with a devotion to his spiritual practices, but Saturn aspects Venus making him conservative in his spiritual philosophy.
All these attributes would make him a good president and this is why his got the nomination to lead the Republican Party. But will he get elected? Lets look at all the aspects involved on Election Day, November 6th 2012.
He is in Sun/Mercury maha dasha, which are extraordinarily good, for both dasha rulers are in the 10th house of leadership and social recognition. The Sun’s dasha is his crowning glory years from 2008-2014, running for the most powerful position in the world, President of the United States. Sun and Mercury form Raja yoga since the Sun rules the 4th house and Mercury the 5th house. This is the fruition of this raja yoga. Raja means king, and he is in the Mercury subcycle (bhukti) from April 2012-March 2013. He will go into Ketu bhukti in March 2013, which isn’t as strong, but it is 10th from the Sun, which still gives the effect of 10th house placements. He will go into the Moon maha dasha in 2014, which is not as powerful as the Sun dasha and Saturn will be aspecting the Moon in a few years.
Transiting Jupiter, the planet of expansion, luck and fortune, is in his 1st house aspecting his Ascendant, Rahu, Uranus and opposing his Jupiter, Moon, and Ketu. Jupiter in an angle is powerful aspecting the Moon. It is in trining Venus, ruler of his chart (ruler of Taurus). This is another plus, BUT Jupiter for Taurus rising is not a good planet because it rules the 8th and 11th houses, meaning it can bring more harm than good.
Transiting Saturn in his 6th house indicates victory over enemies. But Saturn is aspecting by (exact degree) his natal Saturn. Saturn square Saturn is usually thought of as a negative aspect, but Saturn produces great discipline, perseverance, and power for presidents, for it is literally the hardest job in the world. Saturn rules his 10th house, so this can be another plus for him. Planets in an angle from natal Saturn concern career success. Saturn in Libra starts his Sati Sadi – a 7½ year period of hardship. When Saturn enters into his 7th house in two years it will cross over his Jupiter/Moon and Ketu indicating difficulty for his wife. This could detain him from his leadership responsibilities.
Transiting Mars and Rahu in Scorpio in his 7th house can mean his opponent is sharp, direct, powerful and wages war in this fight.
Transiting Neptune nears his natal Mars in the 10th house causing confusion in terms of career and work. Neptune is not good for business pursuits because it involves uncertainty and deception.
Transiting Venus is conjunct Neptune in his 5th house meaning love and support from his children.
Transiting Neptune is in a very precarious position for both Romney and Obama for it squares Romney’s Ascendant and conjoins Obama’s Moon. This very difficult for both of them! It indicates the magnitude of the impossible problems they are to solve. Transiting Neptune squares both his natal Rahu and Ketu conjunct his Mars.
The Moon in Cancer on Election Day conjunct his Saturn may indicate disappointment.
On Inauguration Day, transiting Jupiter is exactly conjunct his natal Rahu which can indicate a great turn of events. Rahu and Ketu will shift off his Ascendant from the 1st and 7th houses into the 6th and 12th houses. But again Jupiter isn’t a benefic, for his chart it is a functional malefic. This can indicate retirement, but it has been noted that when malefics are in the 6th house you are able to defeat your enemies. Ketu will be in the 12th house of loss and it is 6th from the Moon.
Transiting Rahu is aspecting Mitt’s natal Sun when it goes into Libra in January. In old Vedic wisdom it states that when Rahu aspects the Sun a king is born. This was the most specific information I found researching President’s charts. I found it to work using Rahu’s aspects; conjunct, oppose, trine or square the Sun. It applied 90% of the time when comparing candidates’ charts.
Here are some examples:
Presidents Obama and Reagan, Ketu was conjunct the Sun. G.W. Bush, Rahu was conjunct the Sun. Truman and LBJ, Ketu trine the Sun. Presidents Clinton, Kennedy, H.W. Bush, and Nixon, Rahu and Ketu square the Sun (midpoint).
Barack Obama just began his Saturn maha dasha, which is an extraordinary planet for his chart. Saturn rules the Ascendant and is in its own sign of rulership Capricorn, which is conjunct Jupiter. President G.W. Bush was in his Saturn maha dasha and transiting Saturn was conjunct his Ascendant when he was elected in 2000, indicating he had his work cut out for him. This may mean the same thing for Obama.
On Election Day, transiting Jupiter, 20 degrees Taurus, is in his 5th house trine his Ascendant 24 degrees Capricorn. It is widely trine his Jupiter/Saturn. Transiting Ketu in Taurus is trine his natal Saturn exactly 2 degrees Capricorn. The fact that Ketu has crossed over his Moon indicates a very hard time in his life and it has taken a toll emotionally. Transiting Rahu and Ketu are at a crossroads with his natal Rahu and Ketu forming a grand cross in his chart. This is a time of major upset, crisis and decisions.
Transiting Mars is squaring natal Mars, which can be a time of perseverance, patience and direction.
Transiting Saturn has just transited into his 10th house, which is the house of career and recognition. This indicates a time of advancement since Saturn is exalted in Libra. This is a very strong indication he will be serving as President. In January, transiting Rahu and Ketu will shift signs with Rahu nearing transiting Saturn. Both Saturn and Rahu will be transiting his 10th house of leadership while they change out of angles after the elections for Romney.
Transiting Mars will be transiting in his 1st house exalted in Capricorn, which will give him energy and power on Inauguration Day.
On the negative side, transiting Neptune is squaring Obama’s natal Moon throughout the year indicating confusion and serious problems, which may mean the impending financial crisis.
From my synthesis with all the deliberations of analysis, we will not know the exact results of the elections initially because there will be chaos, and many events are due to happen between Election Day and the Inauguration Day. Rahu and Ketu change signs between November and January. So the results will change, expect the unexpected. This will be a turning point in history!
